Therapeutic, Remedial, Sports, Swedish Massage
Combine a range of massage techniques to alleviate pain, relax the body and reduce stress. They are often used on people recovering from injury or on a maintenance or rehabilitation program.
Relaxation
Relaxation massage is the perfect wind-down after a stressful working week. If you want to float out the door a Relaxation Massage is your answer.
Deep Muscular Therapy
This technique is a combination of using deep pressure techniques and stretching. Benefits are reduced tension and pain which improved physical comfort, increased performance at work and a better nights sleep.
Bowen Therapy
Subtle 'moves' are performed over muscles and connective tissue. This is a gentle form of bodywork that stimulates energy and flow to balance the body and initiates body detoxification. Suitable for any age from infant to adult, this therapy may relieve digestive problems, respiratory ailments, neck complaints, shoulder pain and sciatica.
Dorn Therapy
A wholistic, gentle, effective and safe practice. This technique aims at the manual alignment of the body and spine. It also includes stretching of the spine and nurturing it with St John's Oil to release the tightness and pain in the muscular area. Suitable for lower and upper back, neck and shoulder problems
Lymphatic Drainage
This is done with a light touch. It helps eliminate toxins, reduces excess fluid and softens tissue. This treatment is suitable for lymphedema, post operative problems, sinus and headaches
Reflexology
Pressure is applied to specific points on the feet and hands to treat many ailments. It reduces pain and relaxes the body.
Eastern Massage
This treatment promotes the flow of energy or 'qi' along acupuncture meridians. It also stimulates the circulation of blood and lymph within the body. This is both a relaxing and invigorating massage treatment which is particularly helpful for shoulder, neck and lower back problems. Please wear light clothing.
Cupping
Cupping uses the suction from glass cups which are placed on the body where there is pain and stiffness. This helps remove stagnation (congestion) from within the muscle.
Pregnancy
Relieves lower back pain, sciatica and assists relaxation. This type of massage can be done with the patient lying on their side or sitting whilst using pillows for support.
Cranial Sacral
This is a therapy that uses gentle manual pressure applied to the skull, spine and body with the aim of restoring rhythmic flow to the craniosacral system. It is deeply relaxing and is used to treat a number of conditions such as headaches, whiplash, fibromyalgia, central nervous system disorders and chronic fatigue.
